Therapy Style at a Glance
Every therapist at Modern Psych brings their own unique style to sessions. To make it easier, we’ve highlighted a few qualities on a scale: from calm to high energy, gentle to direct, structured to flexible, serious to humorous.
These aren’t “good” or “bad” traits. They’re simply different ways our therapists show up in the room. We encourage you to read through each profile and notice what feels most supportive for you right now.
Here’s how our scales work so you can find the best fit for you:
Some therapists are grounding and calm, others bring more energy and spark.
Some lean supportive, others give more direct feedback.
Some keep things flexible, others work with clear goals.
Some are more serious, others use humour to lighten the work.

ABOUT
I support individuals and couples who want to feel more seen, understood, and connected, both to themselves and to each other.
I know how heavy anxiety, grief, trauma, or the pressure to be perfect can feel, and how overwhelming major life transitions or relationship challenges can be. I believe healing is possible, not just in moments of relief, but in building lasting resilience and self compassion.
In our sessions, we’ll work collaboratively and with emotional attunement. I blend talk therapy with somatic strategies like mindful body awareness, grounding, and breathwork to support nervous-system regulation and help you feel more present.

ABOUT
With my background in neuroscience, I ground my approach in both science and compassion. I know firsthand how confusing it can be to struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, or feeling out of balance and not knowing where to start. Together we’ll work to break through those barriers, heal your relationship with your mind and body, and move toward the goals that matter most to you.
My style is laid-back and a conversational approach to therapy without sacrificing structure and direction. Our sessions will focus on exploring practical strategies that you can apply to your struggles now, digging deeper to get to the root of the problem, and everything in between. I want our time together to feel like a safe space where you can come as you are and feel empowered to tackle whatever challenges you’re facing.

ABOUT
If you’ve been stuck on autopilot, caught in perfectionism, or trapped in the thought loop of “I’m not doing enough,” you’re not alone, and change is possible.
I became a therapist after years as a competitive dancer (and a classic middle child), where I saw firsthand the pressure of performance and its toll on self esteem. That experience drives my passion for helping people feel safe in their bodies, quiet the inner critic, and embrace their self worth.
In our sessions, you’ll find a welcoming, judgment free space to be fully be yourself. We’ll blend honest conversation with practical brain science, mind-body tools, and maybe a few laughs (or tears) along the way.

ABOUT
For over ten years, I’ve supported clients as a personal trainer and nutrition coach prior to becoming a therapist. As a former athlete, I understand the pressures of striving for success and the shame, guilt, or self-doubt that often come with it.
I work with individuals navigating disordered eating, ADHD, or the emotional challenges of pregnancy and early parenthood (and sometimes all of the above!). If you’ve ever felt like you’re struggling with something everyone else seems to manage, you’re not alone. My approach is warm and collaborative, blending body and mind based practices to help you recognize patterns, reclaim your agency, and move toward a life that feels more authentic. To me, healing isn’t about fixing who you are, it’s about coming home to yourself with clarity, compassion, and choice.

I support people who feel stuck in cycles of worry, self-doubt, and overthinking. If your mind rarely gives you a break, constantly replaying scenarios and running through “what ifs” that leave you drained, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to face it alone.
In our sessions, my priority is creating a safe, respectful space where you feel truly understood. Our work will be both meaningful and practical, blending compassion with tools you can bring into everyday life. You’ll always be encouraged to show up just as you are, moments of lightness, vulnerability, and everything in between.

ABOUT
Many of my clients grew up believing their worth depended on being perfect, easygoing, or fitting certain standards, especially around food, weight, and body image. They come to therapy longing to feel grounded, whole, and enough just as they are.
I know how overwhelming those feelings can be because I’ve been there too. Through my own therapy, I’ve worked to untangle old patterns and build a relationship with myself rooted in trust and acceptance and now I get the privilege to walk alongside my clients as they do the same!
Working with me means showing up just as you are. My approach is warm, gentle, and collaborative, drawing from cognitive, somatic, and partswork methods. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you, build coping skills, and create meaningful change.

ABOUT
Many of my clients feel like their mind never stops. No matter how much they achieve, it never feels like enough. Anxiety, self-doubt, and comparison take over, often alongside rigid rules around food, exercise, or appearance.
I get how heavy that feels, because I’ve been there. I believe everyone deserves a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves.
In our work, you’ll find a space to exhale, be understood, and explore the patterns keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll build a more compassionate inner voice and create a life that feels flexible, free, and peaceful.

ABOUT
I meet clients with respect, curiosity, and the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they can’t quite name or break. Whether it’s anxiety, overwhelm, people pleasing, or the constant pressure of being a high achiever or highly sensitive person, it can feel like you’re always “on” but never quite settled.
Together, we’ll explore those patterns with care and compassion. Not to judge or fix, but to understand and shift them. I’ll help you create space for insight, self trust, and sustainable change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and paced to fit your needs. We’ll work on strengthening your boundaries, reconnecting with what’s most important to you, and untangling the thoughts or habits that keep you feeling stuck. I’m here to support your process, help you build the tools you need, and walk alongside you as you move toward a more balanced, grounded way of living.

ABOUT
I support people who feel weighed down by anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, and struggles with food or body image.

In our sessions, my focus is on creating a warm, respectful space where you can show up fully as yourself. We’ll explore both the hard stuff and the strengths you carry, using a mix of compassion and practical tools you can apply in everyday life.
